From concrete streets through a black-opaque entry, our feet braised the checkerboard floor as we were transported into a world of superstition and irrationality on Saatchi Online’s opening night for Italian born, LA based artist Mattia Biagi for Storm of Life. Wall to wall umbrellas (all opened inside) fought smoke filled pathways, wandering past devil worshippers and ill dressed women swallowing swords, (2 of the 5 video installations).

Celebrities, such as Orlando Bloom, wife, Victoria Secret Model Miranda Kerr, Photographer David LaChapelle and Paul Young seemed to float above the vapor, while over 500 art lovers filled tight pockets throughout the room, all while avoiding injury from the steal tips protruding at every angle.
