Art Paris 2011 is stretching the limits of traditional fairs to create a new kind of modern art fair based on artistic projects specially designed and carried out with its participating galleries and their artists. We are using the power of our artist community to create an original and innovative concept.
The Saatchi Online all digital booth at ARTPARIS Grand Palais 2011, taking place in Paris, France from March 31, 2011 – April 3, 2011, will be curated completely by artists, displaying the artwork of the top 128 Saatchi Online ARTPARIS Showdown artists as selected by the community. The top 4 finalists will also receive $500 USD. www.saatchionline.com/showdown

Sounds fantastic, bring it on!
Sweet !
Very Sweet !
Très chic!
Good luck to the show.
Want to improve your chance to win a #saatchionline #showdown ? Simple advice: DON’T VOTE! – - – Beause it ONLY makes the others better. – - – That’s not bad temper, it’s mathematics.
Il gioco nell’arte mi distende e mi mette di buon umore.
Félicitation pour cet évènement et bon courage à tous!!!!
Sounds great! I don’t have a profile but I would love to be selected to exhibit in Paris! It would be amazing!
What an exciting project. I hope to be involved.
great! thanks for the opportunity!
Aad – You have to vote, how else will the best pictures win?
It’s not the best work that wins, it’s the one with the most votes. The word “best” does not occur in the rules at all.
Btw, like your paintings, some of them remind me of Gerhard Richters paintings.

Where in the rules does it say “you have to vote”? I only like to vote after the top 128 have been picked. Is that bad?
To vote or not to vote. Not to vote is abit sour grapes. Saatchi has given us all a great opportunity to show our work and taking part to help make it work must benifit all of us. Thankyou to the Saatchi team.
Who has the time to vote for every pair in the 1st round?
Don’t worry Project M, in the 1st round there are no defined pairs, only random ones. Try this, next time avoid voting for your own piece and reload that page several times. Each time it will be paired with a differrent work. Or on a voting page hit the ” Skip This Matchup” button, which is the same as the reload button on your browser, and sometimes only one of the two artworks will be exchanged because they are not liked.
That means voting in the 1st round is comletely random just like in the old days. So vote as little or as many as you want. At the end (leaving out “friends” and factors like that) it’s the Wikipedia principle: many poeple, little work, great job.
Have fun.
